Their production and publication allows for internal users, external businesses or suitably skilled citizens to create Local Authority related online services. These will maintain a constant user experience and ensure that they continue to meet expectations. This means that related services can be provided with a lower price than a full development effort.
Where these services meet the Local Authority’s standards they could be adopted by the Council and brought onto the Local Authority platform.
